These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy and Cookie Policy and any competition-specific details published on the website or app, set out the full agreement between the Promoter and each entrant in relation to competitions listed on PrizeRunner.com and any related app.
If there is any inconsistency between these documents, the order of priority will be:
If any clause is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, that will not affect the remaining provisions.
An entry fee is payable for each entry made using the online route, including entries made through recurring billing. A free postal entry route is also available. Anyone entering through either route is referred to as an Entrant in these Terms.
Each draw-based competition will run from the time it is published until the closing date shown on the website or app. These are referred to as the Published Date and Closing Date.
All dates and times are based on London, England time.
Where necessary due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s control, and where fairness requires it, the Promoter may:
Any changes will be shown on the website/app and entrants will be notified by email.
Entries must be received:
Entries received outside that period may be disqualified without refund.
Postal entries received within 72 hours after the Closing Date will not be entered into that competition, but the entrant may instead receive site credit equal to the online entry cost for use on another competition.
The outcome is predetermined and cannot be influenced by the entrant.
All entries must be submitted in English. Entries in any other language may be disqualified without refund.
The Promoter will confirm receipt of entry:
The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are:
By purchasing entries, registering an account and submitting an entry, you are entering into a contract with the Promoter and agreeing to these Terms.
Postal entries are permitted subject to the following:
The Promoter may offer recurring billing so entrants can purchase discounted credits automatically for entry into future competition periods.
Recurring billing may be:
depending on the option selected.
By choosing recurring billing, you authorise the Promoter to:
Confirmation of each recurring entry will be sent by email.
Recurring billing can be cancelled at any time through your account settings.
If payment fails, the Promoter is not required to allocate entries for that cycle.
Recurring entries are treated in the same way as one-off paid entries and remain subject to these Terms.
For Instant Win Competitions and Instant Reveal Promotions, recurring billing means entries may be automatically allocated into each new promotion period at the chosen billing interval. Outcomes are fixed in advance and may be revealed during the relevant promotion period.
5.1 Draw-Based Competitions
All valid entrants are entered into the draw and assigned one or more ticket numbers.
The winner is selected on the published Draw Date using a provably fair, cryptographically verifiable random number generator. The Promoter operates the draw under a commit–reveal protocol:
For live draws, the draw is computed in advance and held privately until the announced draw time, at which point the result and the full audit record are published. Entry lists and ticket allocations may be displayed visually during a live draw, but the published cryptographic audit is the authoritative record of the outcome.
If a draw is disrupted, produces an inconclusive result, or selects a ticket number that has not been sold, the Promoter will run a further attempt using a freshly derived seed. Each attempt is recorded and independently verifiable.
All valid entrants are assigned tickets.
Winning ticket numbers are selected before the competition opens, using a cryptographically secure random source (secrets.SystemRandom), and committed to the database before any entry is sold. The set of winning numbers is therefore fixed for the lifetime of the competition and cannot be influenced by entry timing or volume.
End-of-competition prize winners (where applicable) are selected by the draw-based method described in section 5.1.
Winning outcomes are determined and committed before the promotion launches.
Each entrant's outcome is allocated at the point of entry using a cryptographically secure random process. Online entrants reveal their result immediately through the on-site mechanism; postal entrants have the entry applied to their account on receipt and may reveal the result via their dashboard.
The reveal animation or game is purely presentational and does not influence the outcome — the result is fixed at the moment of entry.

Live draws. The winning ticket is computed in advance using the provably fair process described in 5.1 and held privately until the announced draw time. Any visual or ceremonial element of the live draw is presentational; the published cryptographic audit record is the definitive outcome. If the result drawn does not correspond to a sold ticket, a further attempt is automatically run from a freshly derived seed until a valid sold ticket is selected. Every attempt — successful or not — is recorded and publicly verifiable.
Automated draws. Winners are selected by the same algorithm used for live draws: a deterministic HMAC-SHA256 generator with rejection sampling, seeded by a pre-committed secret bound to a locked snapshot of all sold entries. After the draw the secret and full audit record are published so the outcome can be reproduced and verified independently by any third party.
In short: live and raffle draws use pre-commitment and a reproducible RNG because tickets are sold before the outcome is determined, whereas instant-win competitions fix the winning ticket numbers before a single ticket is sold and then assign tickets to entrants in a random order — so in neither case is it possible for the Promoter to influence the outcome or the underlying randomness.
Competitions are open to persons aged 18 or over who are resident in any country where it is lawful for them to enter and for the Promoter to operate the competition and award the prize, excluding:
By entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and may be required to provide evidence of eligibility.
If requested information is not provided within 21 days, the Promoter may:
Entries will not be accepted where they are:
The Promoter may disqualify an entrant if it reasonably believes that:
Refunds will only be given in exceptional cases at the Promoter’s discretion. No refund will usually be given where:
Entrants may enter a competition multiple times until any per-user or total competition cap is reached.
Only one account per household is permitted.
Recurring billing does not override eligibility rules. If a subscriber becomes ineligible, the Promoter may cancel the subscription and disqualify entries without refund.
Each competition may offer one or more prizes, as described on the relevant website/app page.
Where the prize is a vehicle:
Additional conditions may apply to specific non-cash prizes and will be set out on the relevant competition page.
Prizes may be supplied by third-party suppliers.
The Promoter may substitute a cash alternative where:
Prizes are not transferable or negotiable.
Any costs not expressly included in the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 21 days, the Promoter may select an alternate winner using the same method from the remaining valid entries. This process may continue until a prize is accepted.
For prizes above a value determined by the Promoter, the winner may be required to provide valid proof of identity and address matching their registered details.
If that is not provided within 21 days of acceptance, the Promoter may investigate further and may offer the prize to an alternate winner if identity cannot be verified within 3 months of the draw.
The Promoter may publish the full name of major prize winners on the website/app in order to demonstrate that a genuine award has taken place, unless the winner objects before the Closing Date.
Even where publication is objected to, the Promoter may still be required to provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority or another regulator on request.
Before any prize is paid or delivered, the Promoter may validate the entry in accordance with its procedures.
A competition entry may be treated as invalid if:
If an entry is declared invalid because of a technical fault or human error of the kind above, the Promoter will either:
whichever is greater.
If an entrant believes they were deprived of a prize due to such an error, they may notify the Promoter, who will investigate and, if appropriate, make payment after deducting any amount already received.
Instant win games are games of chance. Outcomes are predetermined at the time of entry and are not affected by skill, judgement or interaction with the reveal animation.
Cash prizes will be paid into a nominated bank account. The winner may be required to show that they are the sole or joint beneficiary of that account. Failure to provide this within 21 days may result in disqualification.
The Promoter is not responsible if a winner does not or cannot take up the prize.
For vehicle prizes, once eligibility checks are completed, transfer may be carried out using the V5 process after handover.
If the Promoter breaches these Terms or acts negligently, it will be responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of that breach or negligence.
It will not be responsible for losses that are not foreseeable.
